The Insight Dashboard within Director enables you to pin your frequently-used reports and other useful data to a single page in Director for easy access. Reports added to your Dashboard continue to also appear on their respective report category pages.

Customizing Your Dashboard Reports

There are two methods by which you can manage the reports that appear in your dashboard:

  1. Customize My Reports
    • Select the Customize My Reports button at the top center of the Dashboard page.mceclip0.png
    • Using the Add/Add All and Remove/Remove All buttons between the two columns, move reports from the left-hand column to the right-hand column to add them to your Dashboard. Move reports from the right-hand column to the left-hand column to remove them from your Dashboard. You can reorder the reports on the page by highlighting the report to reorder and selecting the Move Up and Move Down buttons at the lower right. When you have finished making your selections and organizing the reports, select Save at the upper right to return to your updated Dashboard.mceclip3.png
  2. Pin reports individually
    • From the report category page, locate the report you wish to add to your Dashboard.
    • Click the yellow pushpin icon to the left of the report name.
    • The pin will turn green and change position to indicate the report has been added to your Dashboard.
    • Once you have added your desired reports to your Dashboard, you may reorder the reports on the Dashboard by using the Move Up/Move Down buttons within the Customize My Reports option as noted above.
    • To remove a report from the Dashboard using the pin, simply click the green pushpin icon to the left of the report name. You can do this from either the Dashboard or the report category page. The pin will return to its original color & position to indicate the report is no longer on the Dashboard.

Customizing Your Dashboard Indicators

Indicators on your Dashboard can be thought of as mini-report widgets that provide quick summary information at a glance. You may add Indicators to your Dashboard by doing the following:

  1. Select Customize Dashboard at the top of the Dashboard page.mceclip0.png
  2. Select New.
  3. Select the type of Indicator you wish to add from the Type drop-down menu in the Create New Indicator window that opens. If you would like to change the title as it appears on the Dashboard, you may do so by replacing the contents of the Title field. Then select Ok.
  4. Customize Indicator window will appear, allowing you to update the appearance of the Indicator, the arrangement of the data, and relevant parameters, such as the timeframe for which you want the data displayed. Once you have set your preferences, select Save.
  5. The Indicator now appears on your Dashboard. You can use the buttons at the upper right of the Indicator panel to export the data to Excel, refresh the data, or update your customization options, respectively.mceclip5.png
  6. You may add multiple Indicators by repeating this process. You may also remove Indicators you no longer wish to see on your Dashboard by doing one of the following:
    • Select Customize Dashboard again, highlight the Indicator you wish to remove in the right column, select the Delete button in the middle to move it into the left column, and select Save. [As shown in the image below, you may also use Customize Dashboard to reorder your Indicators by highlighting an Indicator in the right column and selecting Move Up or Move Down.]
    • Click the green pushpin icon at the top left corner of the Indicator.mceclip7.png
