If your Korona POS is equipped with a customer-facing additional screen, your Korona account can be set up to leverage the bLoyal Customer-Facing Snippet as part of your services. Please contact your bLoyal deployment project manager to implement this, or you may reach out to bLoyal Support if your Korona integration was already deployed in the past without this feature enabled.
The Customer-Facing Snippet allows customers to key in their cell phone numbers to either look up or create their accounts, depending on whether they're already in the system. At any time during the start of a transaction (prior to going to the Total screen), they may tap in their cell number. The cashier will then see their account on the receipt when proceeding to the Total screen.
Example 1:
For the Sample Customer, a Mobile* number is saved ahead of time: +1 (222) 333-4444.
Next, on the Customer-Facing Snippet on the outward-facing customer display on my Korona terminal, I may enter either of the following to resolve this customer account:
- 222-333-4444 [best option]
- 333-4444 [**see below]
Example 2:
I key in the following number which doesn't already exist in bLoyal: 222-333-5555
A new customer record is created in both bLoyal and Korona with this mobile number. The cashier can click on the Quick Edit or View Customer button to optionally add in other customer information such as name, birthday, and so forth.
* Phone numbers must be saved in the Mobile phone field. If they are only in the Phone1 or Phone2 field and not Mobile in Director, they will not be found. You may run an export of customer info through the Customers view in Director or one of the customer reports under Insight => Customers then import the Phone1 numbers into the Mobile fields in bulk, if needed. If you are still in deployment with us, your bLoyal PM can assist you with this.
** If you ever get more than one customer with the same seven-digit local number portions yet with different area codes, we won’t be able to perform an exact match. They would need to enter in their area code first.
