Overview
Before sending SMS messages through the bLoyal Engagement Solution to U.S. mobile numbers, your business must complete 10DLC registration and receive carrier approval.
This article outlines the full process, so you know what to expect.
Note: There is a PDF Form at the bottom of the article titled 3) Information You’ll Need to Provide for 10DLC Registration – MySupport | bLoyal. Please fill out the form and return to bLoyal to complete the process described below.
Step 1: Business (Brand) Verification
We begin by verifying your legal business identity with mobile carriers.
Your Client Success Manager will collect required information such as:
- Legal business name
- Business address
- Tax ID (EIN)
- Website URL
- Business type (Corporation, LLC, Sole Proprietor, etc.)
- Desired top 3 area codes for SMS
- Messaging volume:
- Low-Volume Standard Brand: Recommended for customers sending fewer than 6,000 message segments per day to the US (2,000 message segments per day to T-Mobile)
- Standard: Recommended for customers sending messages at scale (and required for non-profit organizations). Your daily limit may fall between 6,000 and 600,000 message segments per day to the US (2,000 - 200,000 per day to T-Mobile).
Carriers review this information to confirm that your organization is a legitimate operating business.
Estimated timeline: 1–3 business days
Step 2: Campaign Registration
Next, we register your specific messaging use case(s).
This includes:
- The type of messages you will send
- Who will receive them
- How customers opt in
- Sample message content
- Opt-out language
Each messaging use case must be reviewed and approved.
Estimated timeline: 10–15 business days (can vary)
Step 3: Carrier Review & Approval
Mobile carriers review your registration to ensure:
- Your opt-in process is compliant
- Your messaging purpose is clearly defined
- Your message samples match your stated use case
- Required opt-out instructions are included
If approved, your campaign becomes active.
If revisions are needed, your Client Success Manager will work with you to correct and resubmit.
Step 4: Number Activation
Once approved:
- Your sending numbers are linked to your registered campaign
- Throughput limits are assigned
- Messaging is fully enabled
You may then begin sending SMS messages to opted-in customers.
Total Estimated Timeline
Most registrations are completed within: 15–20 business days
Timelines may vary depending on carrier review volume or if additional clarification is required.
Important Notes
- Messaging cannot begin until approval is granted
- Incomplete or inaccurate information may delay approval
- Marketing use cases typically receive closer scrutiny than informational use cases
Your Client Success Manager will guide you throughout the process to minimize delays.
